Feb. 8 Ms. Bosler: 1. Memorize Prayer Vocabulary found on page 37 in your Text. If you did not do pages 37 and 38 in class make sure you do them before Wednesday, also workbook pages 26 and 27. 2. Practice Reading fluently handout 16, Brachot before and after reading the Haftarah, also found in UHS Siddur on pages 66 and 68.

Mrs. Bosler: Read pg. 36 in your Text. Make sure you read the English to Birchot Ha Haftorah, and then practice reading for fluency the Hebrew Lines 1 through 4 of the Blessing Before Reading the Haftorah. Make sure you read it on three different days.
Mrs. Carroll: 1. Review Blessings Before Haftarah and After Haftarah as well as Word list
2. See revised Crossword Puzzle. Remember to ignore vowels in crossword grid. Also, this puzzle generator leaves spaces between words in answers that are phrases.
3. Review list of Concepts and Torah Terms for class discussion.
Sunday Teachers: Please spend some time on the meaning of Ashrei, per Mrs. Roberts's request. Review brachot before and after Haftarah. If there's any time left, run through as much of the Torah Service as you can cover. Thank you.

January 18th Mrs. Bosler: 1. Memorize Key Prayer Words on page 31 in your Text (dark blue). 2. Read page 34 about Aliyah in your Text (dark blue) and be ready to answer questions about the main concepts. 3. Read page 35 in your Text (dark blue) and make sure you can read it fluently. Mrs. Carroll: 1. Review Haftarah Blessings and Word list. 2. Practice by completing Crossword Puzzle, which will not be graded this week, so you have an extra few days. 3. Read Concepts sheet and review the concepts of Kavannah and Mitzvah.
Sunday School Teachers: Review Key Prayer Words on pages 25 and 31. Make sure the kids know them. Practice The Torah service with the student. It starts on page 60 in United Hebrew School's Siddur up to the blessing before reading the Haftorah.

January 11: 1. Make sure you do pages 28 and 29 in your main Text. Pay attention to fact and figures about the Torah Reading.

Follow instructions and do pages 18 and 19 in your Work Book. Make
sure you are reading fluently the Concluding Sentences, and Rhythm
Reading. If you are not sure about Building the Blessing review prayers
we know in your Text to make sure you are filling in the right missing
words.
3. Handout, Birchot Hatorah, make sure you follow
instruction as you do this worksheet, It will be graded based on the
information you place in it. Do not forget to get your parent to do the
discussion section with you and sign the work sheet before class next
Wednesday.

בֵּה אֲנָא רָחִיץprayer handout sheet. Practice reading with the melody, and then without the melody.
Mrs. Carroll: Also asked for more reading practice! Please write your personal answers to the discussion questions on the homework sheet.
To refresh the melody in your mind, Rabbi Panitz's version is on our UHS website on the Sing-Along page, and another version is available on SiddurAudio.com, Saturday - Shabbat Morning Service, near the end of the Torah Service audio.
If you have lost either the assignment from Mrs. Carroll or the homework record form from Mrs. Bosler, please download the accompanying files so you can complete your work and have parents sign for it.
